A leading construction and property consultancy is seeking an experienced Director of Cost Management to join its New York leadership team.

Following its recent integration with a global Owner’s Rep, the organisation is entering an exciting period of growth. This is far more than a project delivery role. You'll become part of the senior leadership team, helping shape business strategy, drive growth, develop key client relationships, and build a high-performing cost management practice.

The Role

As Director of Cost Management, you will:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of Cost Managers and Quantity Surveyors
• Provide strategic oversight across a portfolio of major commercial, technology, data centre and corporate real estate projects
• Build and strengthen relationships with key clients, consultants, contractors and executive stakeholders
• Identify and secure new business opportunities while supporting wider business development initiatives
• Drive consistency, innovation and best practice across cost management processes and project delivery
• Work alongside the senior leadership team to influence the long-term growth strategy of the New York office and wider US business

About You

You'll be an established leader with a proven track record within a consultancy or owner's representative environment, bringing both technical expertise and commercial awareness.

You'll ideally have:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience leading and developing successful cost management teams
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to manage client relationships at executive level
• Extensive experience delivering complex, high-value construction projects
• A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and growing teams
• Experience contributing to business development, client growth and strategic planning
