A leading construction and property consultancy is seeking an experienced Director of Cost Management to join its growing San Francisco office.

Following its recent integration with a global Owner's Rep, the organisation is entering an exciting period of expansion. This is more than a project delivery role. You'll become a key member of the leadership team, helping to shape the future of the San Francisco office through people leadership, business development, and strategic growth.

Working alongside senior leadership, you'll play an instrumental role in developing the team, strengthening client relationships, winning new work, and expanding the firm's presence across the West Coast.

The Opportunity

As Director of Cost Management, you will:

• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of Cost Managers and Quantity Surveyors
• Take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and growth of the San Francisco office from a people management perspective
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while developing new business opportunities across the region
• Support business development activities, client pitches and strategic growth initiatives
• Provide commercial leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, life sciences, technology, corporate real estate and mission-critical developments
• Work closely with senior leadership to influence the long-term growth strategy of the business
• Champion excellence in project delivery, client service and team development

About You

We're looking for an experienced leader who enjoys building teams just as much as delivering projects.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience operating at Associate Director or Director level within a cost consultancy or owner's representative environment
• A proven track record of leading and developing successful teams
• Strong business development experience with the ability to build lasting client relationships and win new work
• Excellent commercial awareness and strategic thinking
• Experience delivering complex, high-value construction projects across sectors such as commercial, technology, life sciences or mission critical
• A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and developing people
• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
