Senior Project Manager – Industrial Build
Location: Norfolk, Virginia
Contract: 12 months
A leading independent construction and property consultancy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support a major industrial development in Norfolk, Virginia.
This is a hands-on project delivery role on a large-scale industrial build for an international client. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day project management, stakeholder coordination, programme oversight, reporting, and ensuring the project is delivered to the highest standards.
The role would suit a Senior Project Manager with strong industrial, logistics, manufacturing, warehouse, or large-scale commercial construction experience. The client is looking for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable being closely involved on site and with the wider project team.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and support project delivery across programme, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder management
- Coordinate with the client, consultants, contractors, and wider project team
- Provide clear reporting and maintain strong project controls
- Drive progress on site and resolve issues quickly and practically
- Ensure the project is delivered in line with client expectations and agreed milestones
Ideal experience:
- Senior Project Manager background within construction consultancy, client-side, or contractor environments
- Experience delivering industrial, logistics, manufacturing, warehouse, or large commercial projects
- Strong site-based project delivery capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively with international clients and multidisciplinary teams
This is a 12-month contract opportunity with a highly regarded consultancy that has an established presence across the US and a strong pipeline of work, including further opportunities in Virginia and Washington, DC.
