About the Role:
Our client, a respected construction and project management firm, is seeking a skilled Estimator to join their team in New York. Known for delivering high-profile commercial and residential developments, this firm is at the forefront of innovative design and construction. They are looking for an estimator with 4-8 years of experience and a proven track record in commercial project estimation to support their ambitious pipeline of projects across the city.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, covering materials, labor, and equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to understand and refine project scopes.
• Perform quantity take-offs and manage cost databases to ensure estimates are consistent and precise.
• Identify project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.
• Contribute to value engineering discussions, recommending budget optimizations.
• Participate in the bid process and contract finalization, supporting the team in negotiations.
• Maintain transparent communication with clients and team members to uphold trust and ensure budget clarity.

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of experience in construction estimation, with strong exposure to commercial projects.
• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Skilled in estimation software, such as Bluebeam, Procore, or Timberline.
• Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical skills and a methodical approach.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience with commercial projects in New York.
