Our client is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager to join their New York office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a fast-growing organization with ample opportunities for progression.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of Order of Cost Estimates, Cost Plans, Tender Documents, and Contract Documents under supervision.
  • Support the administration of Cost Meetings, ensuring documentation is prepared and distributed.
  • Communicate with Contractors on cost-related matters, including planned versus actual costs, variations, and addressing queries.
  • Use the company’s cost management platform to track and report project financials.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager during construction to review provisional sum schedules and CDP schedules, ensuring updates are properly recorded.
  • Assist in conducting monthly assessments and preparing final accounts, subject to review by senior personnel.
  • Support the management of change requests and related documentation.
  • Produce required monthly reports and ensure accurate tracking of project finances.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in construction, cost management, or contract administration.
  • Familiarity with construction, engineering, and architecture principles.
  • Some experience with both pre- and post-contract phases preferred.
  • US citizenship or existing/transferable right to work in the US or eligibility for an E2 or E3 visa.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
