About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has opened for a highly experienced procurement professional to take a lead role on high-profile construction and real estate projects in New York City on secondment for a financial institution. This is a strategic, client-facing position ideal for individuals with a strong background in procurement who are ready to step into a leadership role that offers both complexity and visibility across global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end procurement strategy for major construction and fit-out projects, ensuring alignment with global standards and local requirements.

  • Act as the primary interface between the New York-based project teams and a central procurement hub located overseas.

  • Manage vendor selection, contract negotiation, cost analysis, and performance tracking across multiple suppliers and trades.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders including project managers, finance teams, and legal to ensure procurement activity supports commercial goals.

  • Drive innovation and value engineering in procurement processes, helping to deliver best-in-class solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years’ experience in procurement, with a strong focus on construction, real estate, or capital projects.

  • Experience working on the client side or in an owner-representative capacity is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of contract structures, supplier management, and procurement strategy in a complex stakeholder environment.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating across international teams.

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a focus on delivering results.
