We are working with an established construction and property consultancy to appoint a Senior Cost Manager in Chicago. This is a key hire within a growing team, offering the opportunity to lead commercial interiors and workplace projects, including national account-style programs.

The Role | Senior Cost Manager
You will lead the delivery of cost management services across multiple commercial interiors projects, acting as a key client interface and driving commercial outcomes from early-stage budgeting through project completion.
Key responsibilities
- Lead cost planning, estimating, and budgeting across projects
- Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
- Oversee procurement, bid analysis, and contractor engagement
- Control project costs, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Lead change management and risk mitigation
- Manage multiple projects and/or client portfolios
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Contribute to client development and business growth
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of cost management, QS, or estimating experience
- Strong commercial interiors / workplace project background
- Proven client-facing experience
- Experience leading projects and managing cost delivery
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
Preferred Background
- Consultancy experience
- National account or portfolio program exposure
- Professional accreditation (MRICS, CCM, etc.)
- Experience managing or mentoring junior staff
