Senior Cost Manager | Construction Consultancy (Chicago)
Salary: $125,000 - $155,000 + Quarterly Bonus
A fast-growing construction consultancy is strengthening its Chicago Cost Management team and is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to help lead delivery and support continued expansion in the Midwest.
This role is ideal for someone looking to step into a high-autonomy position with direct client ownership and a clear route toward Associate Director.
The Opportunity
- Play a key role in building out the Chicago cost management function
- Deliver projects across corporate interiors, infrastructure, healthcare, residential, life sciences, and data centers
- Work directly with Partners and senior leadership
- Gain visibility and influence in a business actively developing its leadership layer
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full pre- and post-contract cost management on multiple projects
- Own client relationships and commercial delivery
- Cost planning, reporting, risk management, and value engineering
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Contribute to team growth and operational improvements
What They’re Looking For
- 6-10+ years’ experience in cost management / quantity surveying
- Proven ability to run projects independently
- Consultancy, owner’s rep, or strong GC cost background
- Open to UK, Australian, or US-trained QS profiles
- Chicago-based or open to relocation (visa support available)
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $125,000 - $155,000
- Quarterly bonus:
- Full healthcare coverage (employee + family)
- Clear progression to Associate Director / Team Lead
