Position: Project Executive
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $275,000 – $300,000 base + performance bonus & excellent benefits
A respected, mid-sized general contractor based in New York is seeking a Project Executive to support continued growth across its commercial interiors portfolio. The firm delivers complex projects for repeat clients across the different asset classes and is known for consistent execution rather than chasing volume.
With a strong backlog of secured work and a disciplined approach to project selection, the company is expanding its senior project leadership team. This role is well-suited to someone who enjoys being close to the work, building long-term client relationships, and leading teams through multiple fast-paced projects.

The Role
The Project Executive will oversee multiple interior construction projects and you will be responsible for project performance from preconstruction through closeout, acting as the primary point of accountability for schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Provide executive oversight of multiple active projects, ensuring financial, schedule, and quality objectives are met
Lead project teams through regular progress, safety, and coordination meetings
Review bid packages, subcontractor qualifications, procurement strategies, and final estimates
Oversee procurement of subcontractors and materials in line with company procedures
Identify scope changes and manage change order processes, including client presentation and approval
Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices
Maintain strong client relationships with a focus on repeat business and long-term partnerships
Represent the company’s ownership interests on each project, identifying opportunities to improve profitability through how work is bid, bought, and built
Support preconstruction and value-added services by engaging with client decision-makers and understanding their broader business needs
Requirements
Proven experience delivering commercial interior projects in New York
Demonstrated success leading multiple projects at anyone time
Strong leadership, financial acumen, and client-facing skills
U.S. Citizenship and current authorization to work in the United States
