Capstone Americas is partnering with a top-tier general contractor consistently ranked among the leading firms in New York. The company is recognized for delivering complex, high-profile projects and maintaining long-standing relationships with Fortune 500 clients across financial services, technology, life sciences, and corporate interiors.


Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, the firm is expanding its senior field leadership team and is seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee large-scale, high-end commercial interior projects.


This role is suited to a seasoned field leader with extensive experience managing complex projects in occupied, fast-paced environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving safety, quality, schedule adherence, and overall site performance while mentoring junior field staff and maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.


Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site operations for complex commercial interiors projects.
  • Oversee site safety, construction activities, quality control, logistics, housekeeping, and daily reporting.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Assistant Superintendents and field staff.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules, including two-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Coordinate subcontractors to ensure adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of project objectives, including financial targets, phasing plans, milestones, and inspections.
  • Ensure all work complies with design documents, specifications, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Management to maintain accurate schedules and proactively address risks.
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and project teams.
  • Manage the RFI process, including identification, tracking, resolution, and closeout.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, particularly in occupied environments.
  • Oversee punch list completion and support project closeout and warranty processes.


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial construction, with significant experience as a Superintendent on high-end interior projects.
  • Proven track record delivering complex projects in occupied environments.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams within fast-track schedules.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret commercial construction drawings and specifications.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification (minimum).
  • 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certification.
