We are representing a rapidly expanding Cost Consultancy headquartered in New York, with additional offices across the Mid-West and West Coast. The Role -  Cost Manager (Data Centers)
This is a unique opportunity to work exclusively on mission-critical data center projects, with some schemes exceeding $1bn in value. As a Cost Manager, you’ll gain hands-on responsibility from day one, supported by senior leadership and exposed to all facets of large-scale project delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cost management support on major data center projects throughout pre- and post-contract phases.
  • Prepare cost estimates, cost plans, and tender documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client objectives.
  • Manage contractor negotiations and review change orders, variations, and claims.
  • Conduct value engineering, benchmarking, and risk analysis to optimize project performance.
  • Provide monthly cost reporting and project financial updates to senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Support in the preparation of final accounts and settlement of claims.
  • Act as a key client interface, representing the consultancy as a trusted advisor on cost and commercial matters.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3–6 years of experience in cost management, ideally with exposure to large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of pre- and post-contract processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • U.S. citizenship, right to work in the U.S., or eligibility for an E2/E3 visa.
