Project Manager – Commercial Interiors (NYC)

A well-established general contractor specializing in commercial interiors is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join its tight-knit, hands-on team in New York City. With over two decades of success and a reputation for integrity and excellence, this family-run firm delivers high-quality refurbishment and fit-out projects across sectors, primarily for building owners and managers.
The Role
As Project Manager, you’ll lead commercial interior projects from start to finish, typically ranging from $1M–$10M. You’ll also handle smaller jobs and maintenance work, gaining exposure across estimating, client relations, and subcontractor management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage core projects
- Estimate and bid on new work
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
What They Are Looking For:
- 5-10 years’ experience in commercial interiors
- Strong reputation with subs and clients
- Autonomous, proactive, and solutions-oriented
- Excellent communicator - phone-first, not email-only
- Comfortable in a collaborative, flat-structured environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $130,000-$150,000 plus a bonus
- 401K: 10% company match
