We are working with a leading global Owner’s Representative firm to hire a Senior Cost Manager in Chicago. This firm is renowned for its excellence in cost and project management across the real estate and infrastructure sectors.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Cost Manager, you will lead cost management efforts on large-scale projects, ensuring financial control, risk mitigation, and cost efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled professional ready to take on more responsibility and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead cost estimating, budgeting, and financial reporting across multiple projects.
Oversee tender reviews, contract negotiations, and procurement strategies.
Provide cost management expertise throughout the project lifecycle to optimize budgets.
Conduct risk assessments and advise on mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with project teams to drive value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
Serve as a key client liaison, delivering high-level financial insights and recommendations.
Mentor and guide junior cost managers, fostering team growth and development.
Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in cost management, estimating, or project controls.
Proven track record of delivering cost management services on complex projects.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships.
Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., CostX, Sage, Procore) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Additional Information:
Relocation candidates will be considered, including those currently based outside the United States.
To qualify for the relevant U.S. work visa, candidates must hold a British or Australian passport.
