POSITION: Project Manager (Construction, Interiors)

LOCATION: Manhattan, New York

PACKAGE: Up to $200,000 + industry leading bonus + package

Capstone Property Recruitment Americas are pleased to be working in partnership with a leading mid sized general contracting firm who are widely regarded as one the top GCs in the New York construction market for their specialist sectors. This firm have recently been recognised as one of the top GCs in the interiors market for New York and boast long established partnerships with several F500 clients across the hospitality, technology, life sciences & corporate interior sectors.

Our client is looking for a degree educated, experienced Project Manager with experience of leading projects in a fast-paced environment, with hospitality and commercial offices experience being preferred. Successful Project Managers are responsible for all aspects of the construction process, budgets, and schedules for multiple concurrent projects and thus experience in this capacity is essential.

Our client have an impressive pipeline of projects with no signs of this slowing down and are thus looking to expand their Project Management service line and are seeking an industry leading Project Manager to drive accountability for the ultimate success of multiple concurrent projects across sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and quality control.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to timelines and financial targets.
• Serve as the key point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Prepare and present project status reports and updates to clients and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and resolutions.
• Foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and accountability among project team members, subcontractors, and partners.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with the ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam).
• PMP or similar certification is a plus.
