Project Manager / Senior Project Manager – Workplace Interiors

Chicago, IL | Hybrid | $130,000–$160,000 + 10% Target Bonus

A boutique, international project and program management consultancy is looking to appoint a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to its growing Chicago team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Chicago workplace / office interiors experience who enjoys working in an owner’s representative environment and wants exposure to a varied portfolio of projects and clients.

With a strong pipeline of corporate workplace projects, the business is looking for someone who can operate independently, build trusted client relationships and, at the more senior level, mentor others and contribute to the continued growth of the Chicago team.

The Opportunity

Joining a close-knit team of approximately nine people, you’ll work across a mix of corporate workplace, office interiors and program management assignments.

Rather than being tied exclusively to one long-term project, you could support multiple assignments or work closely with the same corporate client across a portfolio of projects in different US and international locations.

The current pipeline includes:

• A 20,000+ sq. ft. full office renovation in Chicago
• An office rennovation for a FTSE500 company 
• An established national retail client with projects across multiple locations
• Opportunities to support projects elsewhere in the US as the client portfolio develops

What They’re Looking For

You’ll ideally have 5+ years of project management experience, with the level of appointment determined by your experience and capabilities.

The key requirement is a strong track record delivering commercial office interiors / workplace projects in the Chicago market, ideally within an owner’s representative, project management consultancy or client-side environment.

You should be able to:

• Independently manage workplace projects with minimal oversight
• Represent clients effectively throughout design and construction
• Manage consultants, contractors, schedules, budgets and project stakeholders
• Move comfortably between different projects and client environments
• Develop strong, long-term relationships with corporate occupiers
• Work successfully within a flexible, portfolio-based delivery model
• Mentor and support junior team members at Senior Project Manager level

For the Senior Project Manager appointment, they are particularly interested in individuals who want to continue progressing their career and are comfortable becoming increasingly involved in client development and relationship building.
