The Opportunity

Seeking a highly experienced Director of Cost Management (Quantity Surveying) to join their growing teams in Dallas or Austin. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for driving excellence in cost management services, leading key client accounts, and building long-term relationships while mentoring and developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of cost management services across a portfolio of major projects.

• Provide strategic commercial advice to clients, ensuring cost certainty and value throughout the project lifecycle.

• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of cost managers and quantity surveyors.

• Develop and strengthen client relationships, supporting business development initiatives and winning new work.

• Oversee the preparation of cost plans, estimates, tender documents, and contract administration.

• Ensure the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and client service.

About You

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Professional accreditation (MRICS or equivalent) strongly preferred.

• 8+ years’ experience in cost management/quantity surveying, with significant experience at leadership level.

• Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex construction projects within a consultancy environment.

• Strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire confidence with clients and colleagues.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growing a business and developing people.
