Associate Project Manager - New York

A growing boutique owner's representative consultancy is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join its New York team.

This is a key senior hire, offering the opportunity to lead high-quality commercial projects, manage important client relationships and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the business.

The Role

• Lead the delivery of complex commercial interior and tenant improvement projects from pre-construction through to closeout, while providing oversight across the wider project portfolio.
• Act as a senior client contact, building trusted relationships and providing clear advice, reporting and strategic project leadership.
• Take responsibility for project performance across budgets, schedules, procurement, risk, change control and quality.
• Lead and coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, landlords and client stakeholders.
• Oversee tendering, contractor appointments, negotiations and contract administration.
• Manage and mentor Project Managers and junior team members, promoting high standards and strengthening internal processes.
• Support the founders with proposals, client development and the conversion of new opportunities as the business grows.

Project Portfolio

The portfolio includes super-prime fit-outs within landmark New York buildings, financial services and banking workplaces, corporate headquarters, landlord-direct projects, commercial-to-residential conversions and full-building renovations.

About You

• A strong track record of independently leading complex projects and client accounts through the full lifecycle.
• Extensive commercial fit-out or tenant improvement experience within New York.
• An owner's representative or project management consultancy background is strongly preferred, although highly relevant developer or contractor experience may be considered.
• Commercially astute and confident overseeing budgets, contracts, procurement, schedules, risk and project teams.
• A credible senior communicator who can influence clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on and comfortable contributing to client development and the growth of an emerging business.
