The Role - Assistant Cost Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing Order of Cost Estimates, Cost Plans, Tender Documents, and Contract Documents under supervision.
  • Support the administration of cost meetings, ensuring documentation is accurate and distributed.
  • Liaise with contractors on cost-related matters, including planned vs. actual costs, variations, and queries.
  • Utilize the company’s cost management platform to track and report project financials.
  • Work closely with Project Managers during construction to review provisional sum schedules and CDP schedules, ensuring updates are recorded.
  • Assist in monthly assessments and preparation of final accounts, subject to senior review.
  • Support the management of change requests and associated documentation.
  • Produce monthly reports and maintain accurate financial tracking of projects.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction, cost management, or contract administration.
  • Familiarity with construction, engineering, and architecture principles.
  • Some experience across both pre- and post-contract phases preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship, existing/transferable right to work in the U.S., or eligibility for an E2 or E3 visa.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
