Senior Project Manager – New York

A growing boutique owner’s representative consultancy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its New York team.

This is an important early hire, offering the opportunity to lead high-quality commercial projects, work directly with clients and contribute to the continued growth of the business. Longer term, there is genuine scope to progress into a leadership position.

The Role

• Lead commercial interior and tenant improvement projects from pre-construction through to closeout.
• Act as the primary client contact, providing clear advice, reporting and project leadership.
• Manage budgets, schedules, procurement, risk, change control and overall project performance.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, landlords and client stakeholders.
• Oversee tendering, contractor appointments, negotiations and contract administration.
• Identify issues early and develop practical solutions.
• Support junior team members and help strengthen processes as the business grows.

Project Portfolio

Projects include super-prime fit-outs within landmark New York buildings, financial services and banking workplaces, corporate headquarters, landlord-direct projects, commercial-to-residential conversions and full-building renovations.

About You

• Proven experience independently delivering projects through the full lifecycle.
• Strong commercial fit-out or tenant improvement experience within New York.
• An owner’s representative or project management consultancy background is preferred, although relevant developer or contractor experience may be considered.
• Commercially aware and confident managing budgets, contracts, procurement, schedules and risk.
• Credible, proactive and confident in client-facing situations.
• Entrepreneurial and comfortable working within a growing business.
