Due to a strong forward pipeline and continued delivery of complex ground-up and structural projects, the company is expanding its field leadership team and seeking an experienced Structural Superintendent. This role is suited to a senior-level Structural Superintendent with proven experience delivering major structural scopes on complex commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all structural activities on-site, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and coordination across trades.
Oversee all daily field operations related to structural construction, including site safety, sequencing, quality control, and productivity.
Lead and supervise field staff, including assistant superintendents, foremen, and labor personnel.
Manage structural schedules, including development and execution of weekly two-week look-ahead schedules.
Coordinate structural subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections to ensure work progresses in accordance with the project schedule.
Maintain a detailed understanding of project scope, sequencing, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspection requirements.
Ensure all structural work complies with design documents, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
Work closely with project management to maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules that reflect current site conditions.
Identify and proactively resolve constructability issues, sequencing conflicts, and field coordination challenges.
Lead weekly structural coordination and subcontractor meetings.
Manage the structural RFI process, including issue identification, solution development, and closeout tracking.
Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, consultants, inspectors, and internal project teams.
Promote professional and productive relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
Minimum of five to seven years’ experience as a Structural Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
Proven experience delivering ground-up and complex structural scopes, including concrete, steel, and foundation systems.
Strong background managing work in dense urban environments.
Ability to manage multiple work fronts and aggressive schedules.
Advanced ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification (OSHA 30 preferred).
4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certification.
