The Role - Senior Cost Manager
Based in San Francisco or Los Angeles, this is a unique opportunity to take a lead role on high-profile real estate projects for some of the world’s most innovative and recognizable companies. The portfolio is diverse, spanning large-scale tech campuses and headquarters, retail spaces, hotels, hospitality developments, and even exciting creative studio projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead cost management services across large, complex real estate projects.
Prepare and review detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
Oversee tender processes, including bid documentation, evaluations, and negotiations with contractors.
Manage post-contract services, including valuations, change orders, risk management, and final accounts.
Provide clear and strategic financial reporting to clients and internal stakeholders.
Drive value engineering and benchmarking exercises to optimize project outcomes.
Act as a senior client representative, building and maintaining strong relationships with high-profile organizations.
Mentor and support junior cost managers and assistant cost managers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in cost management, including significant exposure to real estate or commercial projects.
Proven track record delivering both pre- and post-contract services.
Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
U.S. citizenship, existing right to work in the U.S., or eligibility for an E2/E3 visa.
