The Role - Senior Cost Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Cost Manager to lead and deliver cost management services on complex, high-profile projects. You’ll be responsible for client-facing delivery, providing strategic commercial advice, and mentoring junior colleagues while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of cost management services across multiple large-scale projects, from feasibility to final account.
• Prepare and manage Order of Cost Estimates, Cost Plans, Tender Documents, and Contract Documents.
• Lead cost reporting, budget management, and forecasting to ensure robust project financial controls.
• Chair and administer client and contractor cost meetings, providing clear commercial guidance.
• Oversee contractor cost submissions, variations, change management, and value engineering.
• Provide strategic advice to clients on procurement strategies and contract selection.
• Ensure accurate monthly assessments, valuations, and preparation of final accounts.
• Produce detailed monthly reports and ensure accurate project financial tracking.
• Act as a mentor and line manager for Assistant and Cost Managers, supporting their professional development.
• Contribute to business development efforts, including client relationship management and supporting bids.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 7–12 years’ experience in construction cost management or quantity surveying.
• Demonstrated experience leading both pre- and post-contract services.
• Strong knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles.
• Proven track record managing large, complex projects and working directly with clients.
• U.S. citizenship, existing/transferable right to work in the U.S., or eligibility for an E2 or E3 visa.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and cost management software.
