Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Senior Assistant Project Manager (Sr. APM) to support the successful delivery of complex construction projects. The Sr. APM will work closely with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure quality control and compliance with client goals. This role bridges technical construction knowledge with strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and management of construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
  • Support the development of project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Track project progress and report on key metrics such as schedule milestones, budget adherence, and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate and communicate with architects, engineers, contractors, and client representatives.
  • Attend and document project meetings, including weekly construction and OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings.
  • Assist in managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other construction documentation.
  • Monitor construction activities for conformance to design and schedule.
  • Assist in value engineering, procurement, and bidding processes.
  • Prepare and review project reports, meeting minutes, and presentations for clients.
  • Help manage project closeout processes including punch list resolution and final documentation.
  • Support permitting and regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Maintain organized and accessible project records using project management software and cloud-based tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in construction project management; owner’s rep or general contractor experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building systems, and project delivery methods.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with contracts (AIA, GMP, CMAR, etc.) is a plus.
  • PMP or CCM certification is a plus.
