Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales and Business Development Executive to lead the growth and expansion of our client base within the construction and project management sectors. This is a high-impact leadership role designed for a professional with deep industry knowledge, strategic sales acumen, and the capacity to build and lead a high-performing sales team.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the Owners Project Management or Construction Management field, with a robust understanding of the stakeholder ecosystem across the construction project lifecycle. You will act as both an individual contributor and a strategic leader, driving business development while collaborating with senior leadership to implement effective sales metrics, KPIs, and scalable processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s sales and business development strategy to drive growth in target markets (e.g., higher education, healthcare, public infrastructure, commercial development).
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key decision-makers including owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, and government entities.
  • Generate new leads, build a sustainable sales pipeline, and close high-value opportunities.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to define and implement KPIs, sales forecasting models, and performance metrics.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to expand brand awareness and market positioning.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and project teams to tailor proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team as the business scales.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Owners Project Management, Construction Management, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, sales leadership, or client relationship roles within the construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of stakeholder roles throughout the project lifecycle (e.g., owners, architects, consultants, contractors).
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies, lead client engagements, and drive revenue growth.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools, sales tracking, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional leadership team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or equivalent a plus).
