Senior Cost Manager / Commercial Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Commercial Manager to support a major global technology organisation, managing a high-value data centre portfolio across multiple campuses.

This is a senior, client-facing role offering the opportunity to work remotely while playing a key part in the commercial success of mission-critical infrastructure projects at scale.

The Role

You will take commercial ownership of a portfolio of large, complex data centre projects, acting as a trusted advisor to the client and ensuring best-in-class cost, contract, and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

 - Full cost and commercial management of a data centre portfolio from feasibility through delivery and close-out

 - Budget development, cost planning, forecasting, and financial reporting at portfolio level

 - Commercial risk management, value engineering, and cost optimisation

 - Contract administration (e.g. NEC, FIDIC or similar), change control, and final account negotiation

 - Advising senior client stakeholders with clear, data-driven commercial insights

 - Managing and mentoring junior commercial team members where required

 - Working collaboratively with global, multi-disciplinary project teams in a remote environment

About You

 - Proven experience as a Senior Cost Manager, Commercial Manager, or Quantity Surveyor

 - Strong background in data centres, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects

 - Experience managing complex, high-value project portfolios for major clients

 - Excellent commercial acumen with strong reporting and stakeholder management skills

 - Comfortable working in a remote, international setting across multiple time zones

 - Professional qualification preferred (e.g. RICS, MRICS, or equivalent)
