We are representing a rapidly growing cost and project management consultancy with offices across the United States. Following significant growth and the backing of a larger global organisation, the business continues to expand its operations and invest in its support functions to enable further growth.

As part of this expansion, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Bid Manager to join their Houston office. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the bid function, working closely with senior leadership to coordinate high-quality proposals and play a key role in securing new business.


The Role

This is a hands-on Bid Manager position where you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, ensuring submissions are accurate, compelling and delivered on time.

Working across multiple teams, you will coordinate information from technical staff, project leaders and business development professionals, bringing everything together into polished client submissions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys project coordination, stakeholder management and producing high-quality bid documents.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full bid lifecycle from initial enquiry through to final submission.
  • Review client requirements and coordinate responses from internal stakeholders.
  • Organise and manage bid documentation, ensuring deadlines are achieved.
  • Produce professional proposal documents and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Office.
  • Work closely with technical teams to gather project information and develop compelling submissions.
  • Coordinate internal bid meetings and ensure actions are completed on time.
  • Maintain bid templates, content libraries and submission processes.
  • Support continuous improvement of the company's bid management function.

 

What They're Looking For

  • 3-5 years' experience in Bid Management, Bid Coordination or Proposal Management.
  • Experience managing bids within construction, engineering, consultancy or professional services is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills with the ability to produce professional client-facing presentations.
  • Strong Microsoft Word experience and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to confidently coordinate information across multiple internal teams.
  • Someone who can hit the ground running and take ownership of the bid process from day one.
