Our client is a rapidly growing cost and project management consultancy headquartered in New York, with offices across the United States. Following a recent strategic partnership with a leading global consultancy, the business is entering an exciting new phase of growth, backed by increased investment, international collaboration, and expanded resources.

The firm provides independent cost and project management services to a portfolio of Fortune 500 clients across commercial real estate, data centers, and other complex construction sectors. They are now seeking an ambitious Assistant Cost Manager to join their growing Houston office. Role Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of cost management services across multiple projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of Order of Cost Estimates, Cost Plans, Tender Documents, and Contract Documents.
  • Attend cost meetings and assist with preparing meeting minutes and project documentation.
  • Support the preparation of cost reports, cash flows, and change management documentation.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients regarding project costs under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Utilise the company's project management platform to manage and communicate cost information.
  • Assist with monthly valuations, variations, and the preparation of final accounts.
  • Support the production of monthly reports and other project deliverables.
  • Work closely with senior members of the team to develop technical and commercial knowledge.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years' experience in cost management, quantity surveying, construction, or contract administration.
  • Experience working on commercial, corporate interiors, or mission-critical/data center projects is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and project teams.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a fast-growing consultancy.
  • Must be a US citizen or US passport holder with unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
