Senior Cost Manager | Construction Consultancy (San Francisco)
Salary: $145,000 - $175,000 + Quarterly Bonus

A well-established, independent construction consultancy is expanding its San Francisco Cost Management team and is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to help lead project delivery and support continued growth across Northern California.

This role is ideal for someone looking to step into a high-autonomy position within a partner-led environment, with direct client ownership and a clear path toward Associate Director.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in strengthening and growing the San Francisco cost management function, delivering high-profile projects across corporate interiors, life sciences, healthcare, residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and technology sectors. Working closely with Partners and senior leadership, you will gain strong visibility within a business that operates with an entrepreneurial structure and is actively investing in its West Coast growth.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead full pre- and post-contract cost management across multiple projects, taking ownership of client relationships and overall commercial delivery. Responsibilities include cost planning, budgeting, reporting, procurement support, risk management, and value engineering. You will mentor and support junior team members while contributing to operational improvements and the continued expansion of the regional team.

What They’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have 6-10+ years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying, with a proven ability to independently lead projects. A background within a consultancy, owner’s representative environment, or a strong GC cost background is preferred. The team is open to UK, Australian, or US-trained QS profiles. Candidates should be San Francisco-based or open to relocation, with visa support available if required.

Compensation & Benefits
