This firm has various accolades and boast long established partnerships with several FT500 clients across the finance, technology, life sciences & corporate interior sectors. Due to a market leading reputation and best-in-class delivery, this GC are looking for a Business Development Director to help with their next phase of growth.

About the role:

As the Business Development Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding the client base. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to identify new business opportunities, foster relationships with potential clients, and ultimately increase revenue. This role requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the construction industry and strong networking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and enhance market presence.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
• Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, architects, engineers, brokers and other industry professionals.
• Collaborate with the company owners, project management and estimating teams to prepare competitive proposals and bids for construction projects.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive activities to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the company brand and establish thought leadership.
• Provide regular reports and updates to the Leadership Board on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven track record of success in business development roles within the construction industry, with at least 10 years of experience.
• Strong network of contacts and relationships within the New York construction market.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for driving business growth and exceeding targets.
