Capstone is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Cost Manager in the Data Centres & Mission Critical sector, located in Cedar Rapids, IA or San Antonio, TX.

We are partnering with a rapidly expanding global consultancy that is enhancing its presence across the US. With a strong pipeline secured through a strategic partnership with a leading global consultancy, this organization is delivering high-value projects for Fortune 500 and hyperscale clients.

The Senior Cost Manager will play a crucial role in leading cost and commercial delivery on large-scale data centre and mission-critical programmes. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading cost management across major projects

- Managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle

- Overseeing procurement, tendering, and contract administration

- Managing change control, variations, and commercial risk

- Monitoring project spend and supporting value engineering initiatives

- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and consultants to address commercial challenges

- Reviewing contractor applications and certifying payments

- Delivering detailed cost analysis and financial reporting

- Supporting commercial strategy and contract negotiations

- Mentoring junior team members

Candidates should possess a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, along with 8+ years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying. 

A strong background in large-scale or complex construction projects, particularly in data centre or mission-critical infrastructure, is preferred. 

Excellent communication and reporting skills are essential, and the role is open to candidates with UK or Australian passports. 

Candidates must  have a stable career history (no frequent job moves).
