We are representing a rapidly growing Owner’s Representative and Project Advisory firm with a strong presence across the U.S. data center and mission-critical market. Headquartered in New York with an expanding Midwest footprint, the firm has experienced sustained growth driven by long-term relationships with leading hyperscale and technology clients.

The business provides independent project, cost, and risk advisory services across large-scale, complex developments, with a particular focus on data centers, infrastructure, and high-tech real estate. Known for its collaborative, forward-thinking culture, the firm offers its team early responsibility, meaningful client exposure, and clear progression in a market that continues to scale aggressively.

The Role – Risk Manager

This is a key role supporting major data center developments in Wisconsin, acting on behalf of the owner to proactively manage project risk from early planning through construction and delivery. You’ll work closely with developers, designers, contractors, and internal project controls teams to identify, quantify, and mitigate risks on fast-paced, high-value programs.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being embedded in complex projects, influencing decisions early, and bringing structure and clarity to risk on mission-critical assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead risk management strategies across large-scale data center projects from pre-development through delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project risk registers, including qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
  • Facilitate risk workshops with owners, designers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Identify cost, schedule, procurement, and delivery risks and propose practical mitigation strategies.
  • Support contingency planning and work closely with cost and schedule teams to align risk exposure.
  • Monitor risk trends and emerging issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide clear, concise risk reporting to senior stakeholders and client leadership teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the owner, supporting informed decision-making on critical project issues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in risk management, project controls, cost management, or project advisory.
  • Experience working on data centers, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale commercial projects strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, cost drivers, schedules, and construction risk.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to lead workshops and engage senior stakeholders.
  • U.S. work authorization required.

Why Join?

  • Work on high-profile, large-scale data center developments in one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction.
  • Join an Owner’s Rep firm with real momentum, long-term client relationships, and repeat work.
  • Gain early responsibility and direct access to client decision-makers.
  • Collaborative, modern culture with strong support from senior leadership.
  • Clear progression opportunities as the Midwest portfolio continues to expand.
  • Can be a relocation from outside the UK if you have an Australian or British passport. Or someone with US Citizenship/Green Card.
